Founder Spotlight

Richshaunda Taylor, Founder of Taylor Essential Life Partners.
Events shipped, so her financial education business could grow.
Events were on the calendar. The infrastructure wasn't. Northbrook shipped the operation, so Richshaunda could focus on growing the bigger business behind them: financial education for women.

How We Met
Two founders. One program. Same grind.
Richshaunda Taylor and Randy Ainsworth met through the OneDay MBA - a sprint-based entrepreneurship program built by founders, for founders. Richshaunda is building Taylor Essential Life Partners to empower women in the Kansas City and Grandview community through events, sisterhood, and financial literacy.
The partnership was natural: Richshaunda had the vision, the community, and the drive. Northbrook had the technical infrastructure to make it real at a high level. Both were doing assignments, running experiments, juggling family, and building their businesses at the same time.
"She wasn't just a client - she was a fellow founder in the trenches. Late-night meetings after the kids were down, submitting OneDay assignments between building her event pages. That's the energy you build for."
The Challenge
A powerful story with no digital infrastructure
Richshaunda's “why” is deeply personal. An unexpected 911 call changed her family's life overnight - her mother became unresponsive, leading to hospitalization, rehab, and permanent long-term care placement. That experience shaped her mission: helping women in the “sandwich generation” prepare financially so their families aren't blindsided the way hers was.
But when she came to Northbrook, TELP existed only as a vision and an Instagram page. No website, no CRM, no event system, no email list, and no way to accept payments. She needed an entire digital operation built from zero - and she needed it fast, because events were already on the calendar.
No website to capture interest from her Instagram audience
Events booked with no way to register or take payments
A growing team with no shared tools or workflows
Raw vision and AI drafts with no production systems behind them
The Modern Founder
She had the vision.
We engineered what runs.
Richshaunda didn't wait for someone to hand her a brief. She used AI tools to generate her marketing copy, draft event content, and created flyer designs and content. That's the kind of founder Northbrook is built for - someone who moves fast, leverages every tool available, and trusts their tech partner to turn that raw material into production-grade systems.
